Our individual Support Packages identify service users aspirations, skills and comforts. They learn the prerequisites required to live a positive and productive life. We provide training to allow them to acquire life changing skills which will assist them with the transition to live independently.
The ways in which we support service users may include providing advice, prompting or assistance with:
- Correspondence related to their tenancy
- Budgeting, paying household bills, and claiming appropriate benefits
- Meal planning, shopping and cooking
- Domestic upkeep of their tenancy
- Maintaining the security and safety of the property
- Opportunities for employment or voluntary work
- Opportunities for education and leisure
- Registering with GP and dentist of their choice, and maintaining links with appropriate healthcare
- Maintaining / developing community links
Ethos
Hatfield Home Housing provides accommodation that service users can call home. We work in partnerships with the service users to identify their needs and to fulfil their goals. The process is vital in progressing to independent living.

All service users have the right to be treated with respect, to be asked their views, listened to and to be involved in the decisionmaking process about their future plans.
Our client centred approach allows us to ensure a smooth and positive transition to independency
In addition, young people and adults have the right not to be discriminated against we promote an anti-discriminatory policy. Any complaintsthat are raised are treated seriously without exception.
- All service users have the opportunity to move into their own tenancy to enable them to continue their journey to independence.
- We offer emergency out-of-hours referral placement where there is an emergency bed available.
- Our services include supporting serviceuser’s with independent living skills, being involved with the local community and behavioural change through tailored education support services.
- We recognise the importance of early intervention and tackling service user’s mental health matters.
- A dedicated support worker is assigned to each service user who will remain in regular contact also with other care givers and professionals.
- Our model of working with people has proven to give excellent results in changing their lives and helping towards living confidently and independently.
- When service users arrive, they are given extensive support to not only settle and feel at home but to find new ways to gain motivation, direction and goals.
We believe service users will gain a clear supported pathway by HHH that enables them to develop life skills.
